We’ve seen our fair share of novelty alarm clocks over the years, varying from quirky wake-up calls to rude awakenings.
We’re yet to find one capable of getting our lazy arses out of bed in the morning, though perhaps a bit of puzzle solving will do the trick.
The puzzle alarm clock comes with three simple shapes (we say simple, but at 7.30 in the morning after a heavy night on the sauce it’d feel like trying to crack the Da Vinci Code) designed to be slotted into their corresponding holders in order to turn off the alarm.
Unfortunately it doesn’t appear to be particularly sturdy, manufacturers need to start realising that if these devices can’t withstand being pelted at a wall they’re unlikely to last more than 24 hours.
If you laugh in the face of placing three very distinct colour coded shapes into their equally distinct holders, perhaps we should push for an alarm clock Rubik’s Cube that requires you to solve it to shut the thing off.
Or perhaps not. If you think the Puzzle Alarm has what it takes to wake the dead, you can pick one up for £19.98 at LatestBuy.com. – Paul Lester
