hannsg 28in.jpg I’m not sure how big a monitor you need on your desk but if 17in or 19in models are no longer doing it for you, then take a peek at this 28in monster from HANNSG.

This is the 28in Widescreen HG281DJ, sporting 1080p support with a 1920 x 1200 WUXGA resolution. Considering it will be just a couple of feet from your face, you’re really not going to get a much bigger desktop viewing experience. There’s a HDMI port for simple hooking up of HD sources like players or consoles, alongside more traditional monitor connections like VGA and, less traditional ones, like Component.

It claims a fast 3ms response time which should make it suitable for games and fast-action HD movie content. It has an 800:1 contrast ratio, a brightness rating of 300cd/m² and a viewing angle of 160º. There are two in-built speakers rated at 2.5W each and it comes with a DVI-HDMI cable thrown in.

At £399, it’s at the high-end of what you’d expect to pay for a big monitor but then this is 28in we are talking about here.

If that's a little rich, you can opt for the HANNSG Verona 'Monitor Of Love', a 22in HDMI-equipped display for the more reasonable sum of £174.-Martin Lynch
